Why Play Bowls at Bloomfield?

Bloomfield BC is a fantastic place to enjoy a game of bowls.
But it is an equally fantastic place to visit on a warm summers evening, enjoying your favourite beverage while chatting to friends and watching others play bowls.
Having given up contact sports I discovered bowls by accident. After a couple of weeks, I made a comment to the Club coach.
Since then I have introduced many ex-sportswomen and sportsmen to this great game. They have all echoed what I said to that coach: ‘I WISH I HAD STARTED THIS WHEN I WAS YOUNGER’.

It’s all about the people….. Irrespective of your level in the game, as a member you are made to feel welcome from day one.
The members cover a wide range of ages, backgrounds and characteristics.
The club also has a good range of social events outside of the main bowling sport and coaching to help you on your personal journey to become a better bowler.

As a new member, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the club and have learned so much about the sport of bowls.
I have had the pleasure of meeting many fantastic individuals who have welcomed me with open arms and made me feel right at home. The members of Bloomfield Bowls Club have created a warm and friendly environment, which has made my time with the club so enjoyable.
Overall, my experience with Bloomfield Bowls Club has been fantastic, and I would recommend the club to anyone who is looking to learn about the sport of bowls, meet new friends, and enjoy a great social atmosphere. My husband and I were discussing trying out bowls so did some ringing around of local clubs and although there are ones nearer to us, Bloomfield were holding a President’s Day and we were encouraged to go along and have a go and meet some of the club members.
So, we went along and could not have been made more welcome by everyone. It was great fun and Bloomfield have been so friendly and encouraging that it’s an absolute joy to be part of the team.
We have made new friends and can’t wait for the new season to start!
